2019 Limited Edition
The Limited 2019 GSc-LC is based on Furch’s Grand Nylon series. The internal bracing has been adapted to accommodate steel strings. The soundboard is made from premium quality Alpine spruce, the back and sides feature cocobolo. A beautiful appearance of these tonewoods is underscored by a host of appointments – padauk purfling and koa tail decoration, solid ring rosette and body, fingerboard and headstock binding. The fingerboard and headstock overlay feature ziricote with a Redshift mother-of-pearl inlay. The body is protected by Furch’s proprietary Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish developed to enhance the resonance qualities of tonewoods. Thanks to the combination of premium materials, soundboard voicing, unique finish, and exclusive appointments, the Limited 2019 GSc-LC features a gorgeous radiant look and an outstanding sound with a balanced midrange.
Unique voicing process
The premium nature of the Limited 2019 GSc-LC is underscored by the fact that the soundboard is individually tuned using the voicing process, our proprietary technology that enhances the instrument’s tonal properties to the highest level. Thanks to that, the Limited 2019 GSc-LC is a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced, and highly dynamic sound across the entire tonal spectrum.
Resonance enhancing finish
The instrument is protected by our proprietary Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish, which has been developed to enhance the guitar’s tonal qualities. The finish consists of an ultrathin layer of highly resistant lacquer that provides excellent surface protection and accentuates the structure of the wood at the same time.
Furch CNR System® Neck Design
A high precision, dual-action truss rod maintains neck stability and allows for fine adjustment of the neck relief, bilaterally. The truss rod is housed in a highly rigid carbon casing which enables a very smooth and controlled neck relief, ensuring the best playability and enduring optimal setup.
- A fully adjustable dual-action truss rod for highly precise adjustment of the neck bow in both the convex and concave directions.
- A highly rigid carbon casing that maintains the neck in the set position over a period much longer than is the case with standard neck joint designs and, at the same time, facilitates a gradual bow in the neck, a factor of essential importance for playability.
- A casting made of special alloy located inside the neck heel that ensures a stable position of the neck and its angle vis-à-vis the body.
Beautiful koa appointments
The attractive look of the Limited 2019 GSc-LC is underscored by a host of appointments made from koa. This wood was used on a tail decoration, body, fingerboard and headstock binding, and a rosette featuring a solid ring with black and white lines.
Cosmic fingerboard inlay
The fingerboard and headstock overlay feature a Redshift mother-of-pearl inlay. Redshift is a phenomenon in physics, which refers to the fact that the expansion of space increases the wavelength of light toward the red side of the color spectrum.
Excellent machine heads
The Limited 2019 GSc-LC has an excellent tuning stability courtesy of Gotoh 510 Gold Patina machine heads with polished ebony buttons and a highly precise 1:21 gear ratio.
High-rigidity Hiscox case
Maximum protection during transport is provided by a high-rigidity Hiscox case with polyurethane insulating foam that shields the instrument from changes in external climatic conditions.
