To celebrate 45 years of Furch Guitars, we are introducing the Eclipse Anniversary limited edition, a special interpretation of one of our most visually distinctive model lines. Based on the popular Eclipse Series, this commemorative release combines the sleek, all-black character of the original platform with exclusive anniversary details and premium appointments in solid padauk or solid koa.

At the heart of both models is an individually voiced Engelmann spruce soundboard paired with Indian rosewood back and sides. This proven tonewood combination delivers a balanced acoustic response with clear highs, rich overtones, strong projection, and the dynamic sensitivity needed for expressive playing. The Piano Black Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish enhances the elegant visual identity of the Eclipse design while supporting the instrument’s resonance and acoustic performance.

The two Eclipse Anniversary models differ in their visual character. The Eclipse Anniversary Padauk Gc-ER a features solid padauk appointments, whose warm reddish tones create a bold contrast against the deep black body. The Eclipse Anniversary Koa Gc-ER a offers the same design concept with solid koa details, adding a refined natural accent with its distinctive figure and color. On both instruments, the selected wood is used for the Bevel Duo, body binding, rosette, fretboard inlay, and headstock detailing.

 

 

One of the defining features of this anniversary edition is the custom headstock inlay, created specifically for this milestone. It is composed of 45 miniature letter “F” shapes, symbolizing 45 years of Furch history. On each guitar, 44 of these letters are crafted from white pearl, while one is made from the same solid padauk or solid koa used for the model’s appointments. The position of this wooden “F” identifies the individual production number of the guitar within the 45-unit run, making every instrument visually unique.

 

 

Both models are equipped with the Booster Soundport acoustic resonator in the upper bout of the side, which enhances volume, clarity, and projection while providing the player with a more immediate and immersive acoustic response.

 

 

Both models also feature the Bevel Duo ergonomic design, with bevels at both the forearm and rib positions for improved playing comfort during long sessions.

 

 

For amplified performance, each guitar comes factory-equipped with the LR Baggs HiFi Duet pickup system, making it ready for stage and studio use right out of the case.
