The Red Performance LI a is designed for discerning players who prioritize stage performance, maximum playing comfort, and the most natural amplified tone. The soundboard of the guitar is made of carefully selected Alpine spruce, whose clarity, headroom, and dynamic responsiveness are further enhanced by our innovative individual voicing process. The back and sides are crafted from Malaysian blackwood, a tonewood prized for its deep bass response, rich overtones, and exceptional tonal complexity. As with all models in the Red Series, not only the top but also the back soundboard is individually voiced, resulting in a highly responsive and tonally refined instrument. Together, these materials produce a full, dynamic sound with warm lows, well-defined mids, and shimmering highs, offering excellent articulation and balance across the entire tonal spectrum. This makes the instrument equally well-suited for strumming, flatpicking, fingerstyle playing, and solo performance.
To ensure outstanding performance on stage, the guitar is equipped with the LR Baggs Stagepro Anthem system, delivering a highly natural, studio-quality amplified sound that faithfully captures the instrument’s acoustic character. Combining the Element undersaddle pickup with the Tru-Mic microphone, the system provides excellent tonal depth, clarity, and responsiveness, making the Red Performance LI a a reliable choice for players who want their amplified sound to remain as close as possible to the guitar’s natural acoustic voice.
The luxurious, refined appearance of the Red Performance LI a is highlighted by our Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish, which enhances the resonance of the instrument while offering exceptional surface protection. The instrument features Hawaiian koa binding with a contrasting white line, abalone body purfling with black and white lines, and a koa wedge with contrasting lines at the tail. The premium rosette combines koa and abalone in a solid ring design, while the bridge and fretboard are made from figured ziricote. White pearl Roman numeral front inlays and linear side position markers further contribute to the instrument’s sophisticated and distinctive visual identity.
Playing comfort is further elevated by the Bevel Duo ergonomic feature, crafted from Hawaiian koa and carefully integrated into both the top and back soundboard. This significantly reduces arm and rib pressure and ensures exceptional comfort even during prolonged performances. For improved orientation during live performance, the guitar also features linear position markers on the side of the fretboard, allowing for quick and intuitive navigation across the neck under any lighting conditions.

Beauty of exotic wood
The luxurious look of the Red Performance LI a is underscored by a figured ziricote bridge, fretboard, and headstock overlay. The body, fretboard, and headstock feature koa binding with a white contrasting line. Koa was also used on the tail decoration and the premium rosette with abalone inlay.
White pearl fretboard inlay
The fretboard of the Red Performance LI a is decorated with pearl inlays of Roman numerals, which together with the side linear position marks also help to increase the visibility of the individual positions.
Excellent machine heads
The guitar has an excellent tuning stability courtesy of Gotoh 510 Silver Patina machine heads with polished ebony buttons and a highly precise 1:21 gear ratio.
Highly durable Furch T-Line Case
Maximum protection for your instrument during transport and storage is ensured by the highly durable Furch T-Line Case. Its timeless design combines elegant lines with high-quality, reliable hardware. The thermoformed shell, reinforced with rigid polyurethane foam, offers the perfect balance of strength and light weight, while the luxurious long-feather cloth interior is precisely molded to the guitar, protecting it against impacts and changing environmental conditions.
