Exotic Woods
Since 2019, we have been cooperating with the Arimae community in Panama, which consists of local families dedicated to the protection of tropical forests and the care of exotic woody plants. All this with an emphasis on sustainable development. As part of the cooperation, we try to financially support the community in the care of four hectares of cocobolo (dalbergia retusa) trees and two hectares of mahogany (swietenia macrophylla) with a total average annual growth of 39 m3. We want to compensate nature and society for the majority of the volume of exotic material that we consume in the production of our guitars. Just to give you an idea, for the production of one acoustic guitar we use a total of 0.00734 m3 of material (including waste), while approximately 0.00537 m3 is from exotic wood.
