Adirondack Spruce
Picea rubens
Country of origin
North America
Adirondack spruce, also known as red spruce, has a long tradition in the manufacture of musical instruments, guitars of American provenience in particular. Adirondack spruce has a very wide grain, and only carefully selected examples with the highest quality have a sufficient strength to be used as the soundboard of acoustic guitars. Furch Guitars offers the highest available grade of Adirondack spruce, which produces a vintage sound and offers an attractive look with light color shades.
